Dr. Brent Scholar is an Organizational Consultant who partners with individual leaders and organizations on strategic planning, organizational effectiveness, team building, and creating diverse and inclusive work spaces. After spending nearly a decade teaching and designing courses on business strategy, leadership, and effectiveness for several universities and colleges with diverse pools of learners, Brent knows that personal and team development are key to making organizations truly effective. He’s always believed that bringing people together and giving everyone the opportunity to be included is what makes any company, and any society, stronger.
Since founding Scholar Consulting LLC in 2009, Brent’s work has focused on bringing leadership to everyone and on providing strategic planning and organizational effectiveness solutions to leaders committed to growing their organizations. His programs are based on a three-part Educate, Empower and Engage model to create inclusive environments. In his work, he’s collaborated with organizations such as The Federal Bureau of Investigations, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters and SmartyPants Vitamins, among others. He also routinely presents on topics such as teamwork, diversity & inclusion, gender identity, creating safe spaces, leadership and collaboration.
Brent has been an active member and supporter of the Diversity Leadership Alliance, the premier diversity education organization in Arizona, since 2011. As part of their Education Committee, he provides ongoing diversity training, leadership guidance and continued support to help cultivate an inclusive community where everyone is valued and respected. In 2019, he was honored with their Diversity Volunteer of the Year Award.
Brent holds a B.A. from the University of California Santa Barbara, a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and an Ed. D. in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University.

In his spare time, Brent leads by example and trains for his next endurance event. He loves to participate in 5K races, marathons and triathlons. Conquering Ironman Arizona stands as one of his biggest personal athletic achievements. Believing everyone should be able to experience what they love regardless of their abilities, Brent has volunteered with Ride On and Horses Help, two therapeutic horseback riding organizations, as well as, Special Olympics. He currently volunteers as a sighted guide to runners who are visually impaired or blind for Achilles International Phoenix, an organization dedicated to helping people with disabilities remove entry barriers into athletics. He also serves as a volunteer chariot pusher for 2gether We Live, Arizona’s largest marathon and multisport team serving individuals with disabilities.
Brent is available for keynote speaking engagements, training sessions and leadership consulting around the globe. He continues to expand his influence consulting with China based organizations in realizing their true mission, vision and values. He also supports them in being their most efficient, with the proper policies and procedures in place for success.
